CHICAGO — With Aaliyah Boston sidelined with a leg injury, Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell put on an offensive clinic Sunday night, combining for 67 points as the Indiana Fever cruised past the Chicago Sky, 113-90.
Clark erupted for 37 points and 10 assists, knocking down a career-high eight 3-pointers as Indiana established a franchise record with 18 made shots from beyond the arc.
Mitchell added 30 points, continuing her remarkable scoring streak while providing the Fever with another lethal perimeter option. Her performance helped Indiana overcome a demanding stretch that saw the team play its third game in four nights.
The Fever entered Chicago looking to rebound after consecutive losses and closed out a 3-2 road trip in emphatic fashion.
Clark was particularly efficient from deep, repeatedly punishing the Sky whenever Chicago gave her space. Her eight triples helped Indiana build separation and ultimately turn the contest into a runaway victory.
For Mitchell, the 30-point performance extended her streak of consecutive games with at least 20 points to 23, further highlighting her consistency as one of the league’s premier scoring threats.
Indiana’s offensive explosion was the difference. The Fever’s combination of perimeter shooting, ball movement and shot-making from Clark and Mitchell proved too much for Chicago to overcome.
With the victory, Indiana heads home with momentum and another reminder of just how dangerous its backcourt can be when Clark and Mitchell are both rolling.
